Anna Guilia Medri

Anna Giulia is the Team Lead at the UNDP Equator Initiative, where she drives efforts to recognize and scale Indigenous Peoples’ solutions for sustainable development. With a legal background and licenses to practice law in both New York and Europe, she leads the Equator Initiative’s work within the United Nations Development Programme, focused on advancing community-driven solutions for people, nature, and resilient ecosystems. Anna Giulia’s passion for nature and human rights fuels her commitment to ensuring Indigenous communities’ rights are respected through sustainable development. She holds a dual JD from the University of Florence and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and an LLM from Cardozo School of Law. Fluent in five languages, Anna Giulia is dedicated to fostering global partnerships for Indigenous-led Development.
