Vinay Vyas is a Canadian-born musician, producer, and songwriter of Gujarati Indian descent. With a career spanning over 15 years, his original work has been featured across film, television, radio, advertising, and live performances. Known for his deeply emotive sound and global perspective, Vinay blends spirit, culture, and story into every note.
A Musical Journey That Spans Continents
Vinay’s musical path began in 2008, seated at an electric piano in his college bedroom. What started as intimate compositions shared with friends soon found a wider audience online. Within months, his music was charting on SoundClick, and by 2010, he had reached the top of the platform’s global charts, drawing over 16 million views.
His rise caught the attention of multi-platinum producer Kane Beatz (Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, T-Pain), who became an early mentor. This led to immersive studio experiences across Miami, L.A., New York, and Atlanta—where Vinay developed a production style that was both emotionally rich and internationally accessible.
In 2013, he signed a publishing deal under the guidance of Mike Caren, President of Worldwide A&R at Warner Music. Over the next decade, Vinay built a diverse catalog, with songs placed in projects by major-label artists, some reaching the Billboard Hot 100 and appearing in films and series on Netflix, HBO, and Amazon Prime.
In 2014, he received a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year for his contribution to Nicki Minaj’s The Pinkprint. That same year, his collaborations with David Guetta and Ryan Tedder (OneRepublic) were released, cementing his role as a sought-after producer in the mainstream music world.
A Spiritual Turning Point
Despite his commercial success, Vinay began to feel a deeper calling—an inner voice that success alone couldn’t silence. After witnessing a life-changing transformation in a close friend, he was drawn to the sacred valleys of Peru, where he began an immersive journey with plant medicine and traditional Shipibo healing.
With no previous exposure to vegetalismo, he surrendered fully—undergoing ceremonies, diets, and years of spiritual practice under the guidance of master healer Guillermo Arévalo. In the depths of the jungle, he faced hidden traumas and long-held patterns, emerging with a new sense of sight—both inward and outward.
Returning with Sound and Purpose
Following years of healing, isolation, and inner work, Vinay returned to music—not as performance, but as offering. Today, his work centers around sound as medicine, creating music that invites reflection, awareness, and healing.
His latest project, “Ommm”, and collaborations with artist Reachel Singh are dedicated to using sound as a tool for consciousness and connection.
Now based in the coastal village of Almoçageme, Portugal, Vinay continues to create music rooted in spirit, authenticity, and cultural reverence—bringing decades of experience to songs that carry the voice and love of a new generation.
