Antonique Smith, the 2025 Ambassador of Earth Day, is a critically acclaimed Broadway, film, and
television actor, a GRAMMY-nominated recording artist and writer, and a devoted social, climate, and environmental justice “artivist.”

She first captivated audiences on Broadway in her iconic role as Mimi Marquez in Rent, later rising to fame portraying Faith Evans in the film Notorious. Known for her soulful, dynamic performances,
Antonique has since continued to make her mark on screens and stages alike.

Dubbed “the voice of the movement” by famed climate activist Bill McKibben, Antonique is also
the Ambassador of Sun Day, a new international movement founded by McKibben to celebrate and bring awareness to solar and clean energy solutions.

Antonique is also mobilizing communities of faith and communities of color to address climate
change as Cofounder and CEO of Climate Revival, co-founded with acclaimed climate champion Rev Yearwood.

Through the power of music and storytelling, she inspires action, empowering others to join the fight for climate justice and a healthier, more just, and compassionate world.
